Grievance Redressal Policy
National Human Rights Committee (R) — Registered Voluntary Organization
Committed to Justice, Transparency & Legal Mediation
"Our organization is committed to providing legal assistance to complainants. We receive complaints, bring them to the notice of the concerned authorities and provide appropriate guidance to the complainants. The documents submitted by any complainant will be kept strictly confidential."
Grievance Redressal Policy
Core principles governing complaint handling
Transparency — Unique Complaint ID
Every complaint filed with our organization will be assigned a unique Complaint ID at the time of registration. This ID will be automatically communicated to the complainant via email or SMS, enabling them to track the status of their complaint at any time.
Documentation & Confidentiality
The complainant's name, address, telephone number and the nature of the complaint will be recorded for official purposes only. The complainant is hereby informed that all personal details and documents submitted will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without prior consent.
Role of Officials in the Legal Framework
Jurisdiction, authority and responsibilities
Chairman & Office Bearers
Instead of directly resolving individual complaints, the Chairman and senior office bearers shall constitute a "Complaint Redressal Committee" which will independently review and process all grievances in a systematic and impartial manner.
Jurisdiction & Limitations
As this organization is a Registered Voluntary Organization and NOT a government agency, it cannot undertake any coercive actions such as forced recovery, detention, or any action outside the purview of civil law. Our role is strictly limited to Mediation and Advocacy.
Legal Assistance & RTI
The primary objective of the organization is to inform complainants of their rights in government departments, provide legal advice and guidance. Writing letters to higher officials of the concerned department or obtaining information through RTI (Right to Information) is the most effective and legally sound approach.
- ① Our organization is a Registered Voluntary Organization and not a government organization.
- ② We provide legal advice and mediation to the best of our knowledge. This is not a substitute for a final judicial decision.
- ③ The information provided by the complainant must be truthful and accurate. In case of false or provocative complaints, the complainant will be directly responsible.
- ④ Our organization does not have authority to issue any court orders. Our redressal process is completely limited to legal and peaceful means.
- ⑤ We follow the rules of the Indian Penal Code (IPC/BNS) and the Constitution of India in the complaint process.
Important Note
Since your organization is a social welfare organization, instead of taking direct legal action, writing a letter to the higher officials of the respective department or obtaining information through RTI is the most effective and legal way to help complainants.
